Ellen Martin
Licensed Massage Therapist, Owner
Ellen graduated from The National Academy of Massage Therapy and Healing Sciences in 2009 with a certification to practice therapeutic massage. From there, she obtained national certification with the NCBTMB, and eventually grandfathered in to Pennsylvania licensing laws when they were officially required in 2011. At the start of her career as a therapist, she worked in a variety of settings including salons, wellness centers, and chiropractic facilities. She ultimately settled with the consistency provided by a local franchise, but always dreamed of a more personal setting for herself and her clientele.
Ellen specializes in treating persistent pain including, but not limited to, chronic neck, shoulder, or lower back pain, migraines or headaches, carpal tunnel, thoracic outlet, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, and fibromyalgia. She is well versed in a variety of massage techniques and modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, prenatal, hot stone,
cross fiber friction, neuromuscular therapy, Gua Sha, cupping, and craniosacaral.
On a personal note, that massage franchise introduced Ellen to the best business partner a girl could ask for, and The Muscle Therapy Massage Center was born! It was here that they both could not only develop a deeper and more personalized approach to therapeutic massage, but could also begin to offer a "home" to other therapists who had the same mind set.

With lack of explanation from traditional doctors and treatments, he went on to study neurobiology of pain at Temple University and graduated in 2015. Through researching and studying pain on a cellular and molecular level, created Jasons' unique prospective on the role of manual therapy. As a long term professional in the field, he has first hand knowledge of the power of touch. As a trained scientist, he is able to critically examine to develop evidence based treatment plan.
